# Cookie settings

Updated 7 July 2026.

We use as few cookies as possible. Essential storage is always enabled. Everything else stays off until you give permission. We ask for consent on your first visit, and you can change your choice using **Cookie settings** in the footer.

## Cookie categories

**Essential.** These support the website and remember your consent choice in browser local storage, using `rh_consent`. Session storage also remembers when you dismiss the announcement bar during a visit. They do not track you.

**Functional.** These remember preferences, such as settings and pre-filled information. They are disabled without permission.

**Analytics.** Google Analytics 4 provides aggregated page-view and traffic-source information. Its script is loaded only after you give permission; without that permission, your browser does not connect to Google for this analytics feature.

**Marketing.** Not currently in use. The category is reserved for possible future campaigns and is off by default.

## How your choice is stored

Your decision is stored in the browser's local storage under the `rh_consent` key, together with a policy version. If the policy changes materially, we ask for consent again.

Closing the banner or pressing Escape has the same effect as choosing **Reject all**.

## Changes and questions

We update this page when the policy changes and request consent again where necessary. Our [privacy policy](https://resahost.net/en/privacy-policy/) explains personal data processing more broadly. For help with your settings, [contact ResaHost](https://resahost.net/en/contact/).
